Soooo....I was musing to myself while re-watching dragonball that: "Hey...Yamcha's hair kinda looks like what a typical saiyan would have....lol he'd be a weak saiyan--guess Yams and Raditz could bond on it XD"


Annnnnd now we have this. The more I thought of it :D the more fun it became! Imagine Yamcha leaving his village for being ridiculed for having at tail---THUS he becomes a theif! Perhaps he even bonds with Puar this way, and especially Goku. Their first encounter in dragonball myb as Yamcha is about to rob him, instead he feels a sort of kinship with the only other person whose ever had a tail.


Thus he and Goku have a cute brotherly relationship, much closer than in the original.


I also like to keep the idea that he wants a girl friend----buuuuut he's scared of Bulma for another reason. Perhaps his village, that treated him so poorly, had a legend about a 'moon maiden.' A beautiful woman who would emerge during a full moon to steal souls. Now obviously the town may have thought of this to prevent Yamcha from literally 'going ape'--but sadly it does affect him. He and Bulma 'may' not even date in this AU.


Anyyyywhoooo here's my thoughts/ideas. Might be drawing a bit more of this scenario at another time :D
