Zodiac and Slate hadn't exactly done that much since they'd gotten there a few weeks ago, partially because they'd been busy with other things *ahem* and partially because it was all hot and icky out, and neither of them liked the heat, even though Zodiac always said Slate had a "Skinny Bass Slappin, Leather wearin' ass". Regardless of the cute and mean nicknames Zodiac called Slate, that they'd met almost entirely by chance, They'd grown bored.
Zodiac loafed on Slate's armchair with a sack of gummeh wormz, staring into space at his TV. They weren't actually watching, because they'd seen this particular Kix concert 17 times already. It was the one where Steve wore a dress on "Yeah Yeah Yeah", but it was kinda lame because they'd seen it so many times.
Slate was sprawled out onto his bed, face down. For being epic, metally, and kinda fluffeh, they were kind of pathetic today. "We suck at liiiiiiife." Zodiac whined as they called over to him. "I know, right? What the hell." The bed muffled his answer, but Zodiac still heard him. "I drew for like, 5 hours all day. I wanna do something else." The ice beast walked up to the bed and attacked the man with their fluff. Slate thought for a minute and spied his epic purple lightning bass from across the room.
"I have a confession to make. I don't ALWAYS do metal gigs." He said. Zodiac's ears perked toward him. "Oh? As long as you're not rapping, I'm probably cool wif its." They answered, and looked toward the warlock shining in the mid-afternoon sun. "Disco and Funk gigs are like, fun once in a while.. Only I never had anyone to dance with." Zodiac wagged their tail a little.
"Omg no wai, you don't mean.." - "Yeah, dude. That's exactly what I mean."
