Our shadow is just another reflection of ourselves, only, it has no friends, no family of its own, it is subject to our being and is denied its own existence. We pay it no attention, we give it no affection, we think it belongs to us and therefor cannot be its own.Our shadow doesn't question us, for it knows we wouldn't listen, it does not flee, for it knows we would be lost without it. Our shadow never asks for it knows it would never receive, and it never loves for it knows it could never be loved back. Our shadow is just another reflection of ourselves, a lonely, forgotten thing, lucky enough to be noticed when the sun shines down, only to be forgotten when the night comes.
