Alys Sketch #2
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Drawing lizards sitting down is an actual form of torture. Ended up using my dog as a reference and oh boy it did not work. Made worse by me not taking as long as I did on sketch 1. At least it kind of matches the awkward pose she hits for the camera in chapter 6 (maskless ofc)
Little doodle in the bottom left is also why she wears said mask. Lots of scared humans without it.

And yes, using your dog as a reference made her look like she’s trying not to sneeze.
Her looking like she's trying not to sneeze works perfectly lmao. It's the photo James took at the party where she's trying not to look like the most awkward person in the room and failing.
...got the muscles right tho. god damn those arms/neck.
Anyway, I'm no expert on drawing(You are so much better than myself), might I suggest using a cat as a reference instead? I know that in most western media, dragons are typically roughly based around cats. And don't just use a house cat, use a big cat. Panthera genus to be specific. Look at some images of them.
I personally for a refence photo would go with a Jaguar in particular, with Alys being a "Muscle Mommy" a jag is perfect. Yes tigers are bigger but jags are more stocky, and have a higher muscle to body weight ratio. If you scaled up a jag to be as long and as tall as a tiger, the tiger would look skinny in comparison lol.
And she was always in colour. Trust me. ♥
