Silence of Music
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
This Scrat image is dedicated to the fact that I lost someone special in my life. Someone who taught me the love of music and yes, Star Trek. My stepfather Jeff.
I drew his Fender electric guitar. Something he loves. And it's red and white. I think he did that because he and I both went to the same Junior High, Robertsville. And the school colors were red and white.
He's the reason why I am a classically trained violinist. I can play the bass, the accordion, the harmonica, and the flute. He tried to teach me guitar, but my tiny fingers couldn't do it very well. Which is why I learned bass instead. Don't have to worry about the chords as much.
And if he wasn't in my life, I would never know about Star Trek. Our favorite movie was Wrath of Khan, of course. Which is why I was pissed off at Transformers 3. When Nimoy said that line in that atrocity, I took it personally. Because I have seen Wrath of Khan. I know the actual context and beauty of that line. And Michael Bay butchered it. And what's worse, he had fucking Spock say it as Sentinel Prime as well. Fuck you, Bay!
And our favorite time of the week during the late 80s was watching Star Trek the Next Generation.
I suppose it's also again one of the reasons why I haven't been doing anything. Since the loss is still very recent.
