Unknown Fish 1 - Memphis Zoo 08-31-2016

This is one of a few fish for which I did not get a picture of their ID signs. He is in the Aquarium Exhibit, a nice series of fairly large tanks.

I know how hard it is to take photo's from those transparent screens, got some some where of a small species of fresh water otters.

I'm gonna say Snakehead, but as to which specific one it is, I cannot say.

I do not think so, becasue the dorsal fin in particular is so short. Ditto with a bowfin.

And not arawana or arapaima. I still think snakehead for lack of anything else.
