Down in the basement
Before Angel adopted him, Leo didn't have an easy life living with his old mother Kate and her boyfriend Charlie. The two where constantly on substances and alchol and acted aggressive and abusive towards him.
They'd often banish Leo down to the basement and keep him there for hours. Leo would fear if they'd forget to let him out.
Thankfully, Leo was able to escape and now lives a better life with Angel. Charlie and Kate, went to prison for their crimes.
