Our Love
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
On September 3, 2007 I said yes to the best decision ever in my life. I said yes to going out with my beloved boyfriend Regis. 10 years later we are still together. It has been a long windy road but with more ups than downs. We have had fights, disagreements, but we have overcome them to become a stronger couple. We have made friends though our relationship and hope to one day make our own family.
For what it's worth, my advice too others seeking a serious relationship. It is ok to disagree with one another. it is ok to have arguments and fights, just make sure to both apologize (even if you think you were not in the wrong, you still did something to further the fight and hurt the other). It is ok to have different friends and to spend time apart. Having time to yourself and time away from your love is not going to kill the relationship (unless you want it too). Spend a little time a day doing a special activity together, whether that be watching a movie/tv show, cuddling on the couch, or eating a snack together.
These are all things that I learned from experience from my relationship. Take it as you will. Not everything will work for everyone, but I do know that relationships are a two way street. You both need to work together to make yourselves and each other better.
My boyfriend has helped me through countless pains and heartbreaks from my uncle dying to friends who stabbed me in the back and heart. Even when I strayed and wanted to pursue a polyamorous relationship when he didn't want anything to do with it, he tried to like it, but just couldn't, then tried to let me go so I could be happy. But I found that he is the man that makes me happy and I could never leave him. He still wants me to be happy and we would do anything for each other to attain happiness together.
Thank you for being my love and my boyfriend for so long. You are the Yin to my Yang. You complete me. I love you Regis.
