Archangel (commission)
I want to thank Pino44io on DeviantArt for drawing this profile of the Archangels, secret police trained to protect within the Devout States of America's borders. Their enemies include suspected insurrectionists, traitors, terrorists and those who choose deviancy over God's will.
Most are selected for such an honorary role based on merit and achievements during service in the DSA military. Those who stand out are given the choice to become an Archangel and defend God's Country from within, with very few refusing the role.
The standard uniform consists of the traditional ordained robes, clothes and half-sleeves (with colors signifying ranks and/or achievements) on each shoulder. They are given a muzzle-shaped gas mask, complete with earpieces and a HUD within the right eyeglass, which protects them in the event of suspected terrorists releasing biological/chemical weapons.
The Archangel carries with him a collapsible baton for close-quarters combat, with their primary firearm being an outfitted military-grade handgun designed to house and shoot 'Hellfire bullets'; these bullets are designed to be immensely heated within the barrel and cauterize wounds when striking a target. Not only does a Hellfire bullet immobilize the enemy target by subjecting to incredible pain, but it cauterizes the wound immediately upon impact, preventing the likelihood of blood loss. The enemy is then detained and taken in for enhanced interrogation afterwards.
