Anyone familiar with Dark Woods Circus? It's a Vocaloid song from about a decade ago now and when I read over these prompts together for some reason the tragedy of what happened to Rin and Len in that song came to mind.

Who else am I to put in this position than my two self-representative characters; Dimitri and Morphi.

For those of you that aren't familiar with the song and the meaning behind it the children who were forced to work at this circus in the dark woods were horribly deformed and made to do unspeakable acts for the amusement of adults who came by rumor to the tents. The song is based on real world horrors of orphaned children who would be kidnapped and deformed, deflowered, and dehumanized.

The good children, the ones that "performed" happily, had marginally better lives while the bad children, who wanted to escape or were too broken to perform, were punished with acid thrown onto their bare skin. The acid in the original music video is shown with flower patterns on the skin and I've included that on both of these two.

It's a very dark song but it's stuck with me ever since seeing it all those years ago. It's about time I did a tribute to it.
