Stumbling across them in the past that I don't even remember when, and they stayed in my head ever since. Turkey, raptor, rabbit, bird, whatever, feathery things with a very peculiar biology. They are easily distracted with something new and interesting, overflowing with energy whenever not in their long hours of sleep. They only stood up to chest height, yet can leap twice as high just to attempt to sit on my shoulders.

They are like tribes who had advanced tech grown into them, an irony. Tech that could even destroy less developed worlds, wielded by such free-spirited souls. Watching how they can just leave stuff all around and leave it to the drones to do the work. Even if they don't remember their origins back then, they were somehow still connected to it. Just by these crystals, which could link synchronicities across infinite distances.

But, these crystals also carried a shadow within. It led to the eventual downfall of their home civilisation, when the mass abandonment of reality came as a singularity. Nothing was a struggle anymore for their lives, yet they crumbled from within. However, that wasn't the end of them. Those weren't under the influence of their homeland were scattered across the cosmos, barely even bothered by their memories to make way for all the adventures they seek.

But most importantly... Who created these crystals? It shares similarities with this one in my possession, but as so many crystals rather than just one.
