Wowies so here's a massive throwback to my art past of 2007, still one of my fave and one of my more well done pieces. I know I've posted the black and white sketch a few times but here's the final coloured image in all its glory.
Was initially made for the VCL monthly art competition back in 2007, I took 4th place with the image but I got more out of it than expected as Civerius here became one of my faves and sort of a main character for a while, even if he sat in "limbo" for a bit, but he has come back having an RP or two and showing up elsewhere.
Right now he's currently part of the FATES comic I've been working on. regardless I have his original info / background and post I made all that time ago on deviant art and VCL

The judging has completed and the results are in. This drawing got me a solid 4th place ranking in the May 2k7 VCL art compo. Not only that the famed Dark Ferret gave me quite the complement about it. Even if I didn’t win I’m very pleased with it.

And there you go! As he stands now, not much has changed on his backstory but it has been added on over the last while such as he run the mountain temple and is somewhat of a very "zen" like individual with some remarkable powers of his own including being a rune caster signing them with his tail tip. he may and or may not be an immortal that can transcend a few planes.
Ill be sure to expand a bit more when I get the chance to do more on the comic itself.

As with some of the other old art I've posted, this one is one of my favourite coloured pieces and it was NOT inked! Used the cleaned up pencil for some texture but it was all digitally coloured, I was on a roll when i was doing the shading on this piece as well the background I was going for is that "Arabian" feel with, even if the symbol is Chinese for snake. And yes I have been told of some of the the similarities to an other snakes.
Do love how the helmet came out as well as it acting much like a cobras hood.
