He does need more definition in the body, though. Right now his body from ears to butt looks a bit like a curved corndog; while MLPs simplify horse anatomy, they still have some definition around the shoulders and especially about the butt. I'd also probably bring down the lower line of his upper foreleg (his elbow) a mite, to give the elbow some more substance, and thicken his upper hind legs somewhat.
The coloring is fairly nice, though personally I wouldn't have used a color matching that of his points to shade his base coat. Moving colors about in an image like that always runs the risk of confusing the viewer and making the subject look oddly patterned rather than shaded.
But to rebuttle a little, the shading on the base coat looking like the same color as the points was unintentional. I used a pure black layer for the shading and reduced the opacity to 50%. I did not realized they similarity in color, so thank you for pointing that out, I will watch out for that next time.
