He despised these Summons, when he was forced to leave the Pyramid of Khoraf and travel to the Stygian Pyramid to meet with his Master. It wasn’t the distance involved, even with the Wyvern Chariot it still took him close to a day just to make the journey. Nor was the cooler climate the sole other reason, though he did greatly prefer the deserts. It wasn’t even the fact that he was away from the troops under his own command. No, the real reason for his frustration was simply because when he was here, he was forced to deal with Ram-Amon, face-to-face.

Each step making an audible click on the stone floor thanks to his clawed feet, he proceeded towards the Audience Chamber where the Chief Servant of Set awaited him. A position that could so easily have been his own, had he been even just one minute quicker in his return, when he had a chance to claim the Black Ring as his own, and be rid of his ‘Master’. That lost opportunity forcing him to settle for simply being a top General in his Army.

In some ways, he was forced to concede, it hadn’t been too bad, these last two-hundred years or so. He had attained a number of critical military victories for Set, and had taken the time to learn all he could about the intricate nature of Warfare, possibly making himself too valuable for Ram-Amon to throw away.

It didn’t stop him from wanting his position for himself, but with no opportunity available, and him wanting to be near Ram-Amon as little as possible, he was forced to admit that it might never happen.

“You have Summoned me?” He hissed out evenly, taking care to keep his contempt for his ‘Master’ out of his voice.

“Yes.” The deep booming tone of Ram-Amon responded. “A task has been passed to me by Mighty Set himself. You noticed the Stars that fell? To the North?”

“I did.”

“I have been told that they contain a rare and unique metal, one whose properties will make possible the release of Set from the Abyss. This is the task I give to you. Search it out. And bring it here.”

“At once.”

A potential scenario in which Wrath-Amon was just a little late in returning, thereby not getting the Black Ring, thereby not overthrowing Ram-Amon, thereby not becoming the new Chief Servant of Set, thereby not getting a human form - sort of.
