Kador Ref (Kaan)
This is Kador, after the point where he becomes a Kaan in my story. (They're like furry dragon things).
He is extremely sensitive about a lot of things (and very naive). The one that found him originally (when he was a werewolf) is 20 times his size, and his "girlfriend" was about half that size, even though they were the same age. He is 26 years old, and about the size of a car.
Because of his size and his... dependency... on one of the older Kaans in the story (female), they treat him a bit more like a pup. He likes it, but he is still a bit insecure about it.
The markings are a source of vulnerability for all Kaans, although they usually have nothing to worry about. They have an open society where no secrets are kept, and their lives are spent exploring the universe (they can warp through space using just their bodies). Their lives are so long that none of them in the story have died of old age yet, and they have been around since near the beginning of time. They appear randomly around the universe in other forms, but when found by more mature ones, they have the chance to be transformed. As time goes on, they appear less and less frequently.
The markings, if touched, can cause them to be very relaxed. If they are touched by someone who has evil intentions, they will turn red and the Kaan will be incapacitated to a certain degree, depending on how much the attacker did. Too much will damage their emotions severely.
Also, if they go along them a certain way, the markings will turn green and they will be able to communicate with other Kaans that are far away.
