No problem! Every great artist begin as a beginner just like you. ^^
I would suggest you buy a drawing tutorial book or you can find so many tutorials on the web.
You need to learn the foundation of drawing first. In this case, the foundation of drawing face.
Proportion means comparison of how large you should draw the eye, ear, nose to the head.
Guidelines means the line where you should put the eye, ear, nose so everything will be put exactly where it should be.
