I'm glad I caught your new works before heading to work this morning, I spent the day working on notes to comment on them. I apologize if they seem a little stream of consciousness. And of course, I can't apologize enough for another absence, but I will say it's fantastic your so diligent and it's great to see new work from you when I come back.
First of all, it's really great to see a character line up like this. You detail your characters very well both in your written descriptions and in your artwork, and it's nice to get a chance to see and contrast them.
From left to right - Alexis looks incredible here and in your other new submission. I'm really impressed with what a great job you did with her. As always, a confident smirk looks great on her. Also, although muscles have always been one of your strong-points I really think you've done remarkably well with the arms of your characters lately, especially with Alexis here (her Killer tattoo curving along with her muscles looks awesome). You've done different clothing designs before but I really like her top here, it's detailed and unique without being overly complicated. The leg holsters are a very appropriate touch and again I think they look better than straight black pants without seeming too busy. Another note: in your most recent chapter you had a section on Killer trying to tame his wild mane, and I think you did a good job giving both Alexis and Killer that kind of look here.
Speaking of Killer, again I've got to say the details you put into your muscles just get better and better. I also really like the look of his jagged stripes, they seem fitting and I think they look better than plain straight stripes. I'm really impressed with the amount of detail, even the small details you put into this, like Killer's fur details and the black markings on his face (which I first noticed in your icon - it's a really nice touch by the way). I also like the red accents on Killer's pants.
Actually, you did a great job using red throughout this image. Particularly for making Vera's fire tattoo look very fiery. Your characters here use a primarily white, black and gray color scheme, and red compliments all of those nicely. It also stands out a lot, so it's good at drawing the eye's attention. The other details on Vera are good too, I really like her barbed wire tattoo.
Diana stands out because of her sleek figure. I'm really impressed you could still make her look toned and fit while being very different from Killer et al. I really like her pose here, you did a great job giving her the right feel for an angelic figure. The gold jewelry and clear veil help with that too. You have a very unique way of drawing wings though, are Diana's wings just feathered at the bottom or all the way through?
Finally, I didn't want to end this without mentioning how much detail you put into the firearms as well. I think it's neat you can do different guns and still make them look distinctive and detailed. You know a lot more about military matters than I do, although I've been trying to look at more just to keep up with you. If you don't mind me asking, did you any real weapons in mind when you drew them? you have an impressive level of knowledge about and I always learn something when I talk to you.
Thanks a lot for sharing your work Killer! I'm always grateful for the chance to learn more about your story and characters. Good luck with everything! ^^
As to this picture, i originally planned this as my banner to use on this new site, but it won't work, so i'm planning to think about something else for that role. On a bright note, i consider this as one of my most succesful drawings, and it is also very special because of Diana's presence. It is the first time i draw her, and it was a pleasure and a satisfaction for me giving an image of her, finally.
Also, i'm very happy with Alexis's look. I've worked very hard along time to try and improve the way i draw her... She's unique, and she's by far the most beautiful, and thus complex, character i have to draw. She's a mix of feminine beauty, muscle and crushing power, and it's not easy to draw her. Lately, though, i've been managing pretty good results, and i'm glad you like.
I take pride in how the musculatures came out in here indeed, and i'm glad you noticed. And as to the clothing and the details, i try to make them all very well. Besides, Alexis, Diana and Vera have their own very special styles of dressing, and i wanted to give a sample. As to Killer, he wears pretty simply, but there's a few details here and there even about his clothes indeed.
And Diana's wings are feathered everywhere, but only the great, long feathers at the bottom are highligted here... Besides, she's got six wings. Here, though, they are folded, so it's not clear. I think i'll make a picture of her in battle dress sometimes, and i'll show that.
As to the weapons, well... they are pretty much my own creations. But you can look at the british SA80 to see some resemblances with Cobra and the Predator's rifles (bullpup mechanic and such) and Vera's machine gun's look is very similar to the russian MGs derived from the AK47. That's it.
Thanks again for commenting, i'm always very happy to hear from you my friend.
>_>
I want to be in Killer's spot DX
but not his life, I couldn't handle all the chaos & deaths of many innocent lives *shudders*
Of course, his daughter Mriya too, he adores, but here she's not shown.
And well... Killer is a warrior. He has a hard life, even if he loves it. And as to the innocents he killed in the past, well... he's more demon than angel, it is no mystery. At times, his hunger takes over.
And i've also a picture i'll have to finish one day soon, and another one i started.
I can only hope you'll like that all as well. And thank you for watching my work and commenting, i appreciate it.
