Ravener Alpha (1/4)(Shadow Lords)
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Hi guys here we have something a little different, you see last year I found a cool skirmish game called Reign in Hell which is miniatures-agnostic, which means you can use basically any miniatures that you wanted to represent your forces. And I decided to see if I can find some werewolves to represent mine and after digging on the web for a few days to figure out what my options are and I was amazed just how limited it kind of was and then I found another game system which had a faction of vampires of werewolves, which is called Wrath of Kings with the faction called House of Goritsi and I was hooked so I got the faction starter box and one of the specialist expansions plus the ravener alpha kit, that way I had two games I could just jump into. When I showed this game to my dad, he too jumped in as he selected some 3-D printed minis on Ebay for the species he went with which was vampires and Reign in Hell is just so much fun, I highly recommend that you guys check it out.
Anyway when it came to painting the miniatures I am just now trying to get around with it and I decided to start of with three of the miniatures, the ravener alpha, a shield breaker and a skorza alpha and I decided to paint them in the colors of my top 3 favorite tribes from Werewolf the Apocalypse which are the Shadow Lords, Get of Fenris and Silver Fangs respectively.
When it comes to the doing the ravener in a Shadow Lords scheme, I first tackled the base with some hot glue to make it look like the large canine was moving through blood with even a head from my start collecting Space Wolves box, for the blood I used fire engine red to give it a deep crimson with a top layer of flag red to represent reflecting light. Most of the attention went to the device on top of the werewolf, I went from the black of the primer to dark grey and ending in granite grey, finishing of with a layer of silver, for the tubes and glass panels I started off the fire engine red with a thin layer of the flag red, I took some really water downed white and swooshed it around to give show the fluid moving around, as for the wings I went with a purple velvet and for the buckles, gears and metal in the membranes I used gold as well as for the highlight on the stacks, engine and tips of the bat wings, finally I did some white hedge light on the wings. As for the werewolf itself, I used gold for the eyes, silver for the teeth, for the skulls I used white, some nulin oil for the details and gave a light coat of waywatcher green, and did some hedge highlight of award blue with the top parts of the edge work getting some cool blue to help make the werewolf stand out.
I hope you guys like the werewolf and have a good one.^^
