Day to Night Training
I am sweating bullets, my knees feel like they are about to give out, and my respiratory system feels like it is on fire. As I try to stand up and face my opponent, a part of me feels as though it is a lost cause and I should just give up, but I refuse to lose another fight. When I was halfway up, my opponent charges at me and kicks me on my inferior mandible as though she is trying to kick a ball as high as it can go. At that very moment, I pass out from the pain and exhaustion that has been built up throughout this five-minute fight.
-30 minutes later-
“William time to wake up, you had enough time to sleep" my trainer says to me with her usual commanding and apathetic voice that would make other Generals obey her. “And if you do not get up within the next ten seconds then you will be competing against me on the 'track course'" she says in an assertive tone. When she notices that I am remaining still, she goes further by saying “and if you do not get up now then you will be my 'toy' for the rest of the week." After five seconds of waiting, Whirlpool sighs and moves her entire weight right on top of my diaphragm as though that would make me get up faster.
I try to get up and plea to Whirlpool by saying, “Please Whirlpool, can you g-." I am immediately cut off when Whirlpool decided to put one of her giant sweaty foot on my face as a way to say, “shut up, get up, or face my wrath again." Now I have to get up while a foot is on my face and another on my diaphragm just because I did not meet her expectations. To make matters worse, I began to feel lightheaded as the difficulty breathing, cut oxygen, and me struggling to get up is a recipe for unconsciousness; on top of all of this, if I do not get up now then I will be forced to run the dreaded tracks which is known to be the most brutal exercise of this whole PHYSICAL training regimen.
Now most humans with a Pokémon would think that Homo sapiens are the ones to train the Pokémon and not the other way around. That does not work in this family because none of the Pokémon, that “my" parents caught and experimented on, ever thought of me as a trainer. No, instead they think of me as a weak trainee that they could just bully and use as they see fit which, I think, violates their promise to “my" parents that they would keep me safe from harm. Being a trainee to these experimented Pokémon is pure agony; especially from Whirlpool, who sees me as a weakling that cannot keep up with the rest of her students, and it is not fair as she is a mega Lucario that seems to have broken the limits that Arceus has put upon the Pokémon. Sometimes I wonder if that promise of “keeping him safe" was simply made, so “my" parents can leave this Earth peacefully while I pray to have any peace on this piece of sh-.
I stopped daydreaming when Whirlpool decided to move her sweaty paw from my face, spit on the bottom of her sole, and try to put it in my mouth. I immediately try to stop that idea by putting up a futile attempt of a defense by both shutting my mouth shut and putting my hands on her feet to stop her advancements. As she pushes down on my body and hands with her soles, I try my best to not be humiliated again. However, I could not keep this up forever as I am still recovering from my injuries and lack of oxygen. Eventually she began to grow tired of this fight and used her psychic abilities to force my body to concede and allow her to do as she pleases to my mouth. With no willpower left in me to stop her, my body falls under her complete control.
My mouth opens wide for her sweat and spit covered foot, my arms and hands drop to the ground in defeat, and I, myself, decide to give in too. Before I could even close my eyes to brace for the taste, I could see that she was enjoying every moment of my suffering as she gave that same toothy grin to me like all of those that she had previously claimed. As my eyes remain close, I feel a warm sweat breath on my face, and I open my eyes to see what she is doing. I see her just a few inches from my face with that same toothy grin on her face before removing herself, and her feet, from my body and face.
“Remember William, I only punish you when you manage to piss me off, but you just manage to amuse me, so I will not punish you…yet" she says in that wicked tone. “Oh, and once you are done knowing who you belong to, I expect you to follow these orders" she says to me with her typical commanding tone, “one follow my orders without question and two go to the tracks you are running laps till sunset." She then decides to show her mud-covered paws to my face before walking away and saying, “stop losing yourself in space, follow my orders, and you will not have to taste my feet as often."
Whirlpool is a mega Lucario that has a personality that can be sum up with one word: commander. While she was trained by “my" mother, she eventually became faster, smarter and stronger than her to the point that Whirlpool began to teach “my" mother. After training and beating my mother in just about everything, she became the de facto commander of this entire family operation of experimenting, training, and work-for-hire Pokémon. And by Arceus she was good at her job; this was the reason why “my" parents picked her to be the leader of this family and while she is demanding, she definitely cares about her students, or that is what I had heard.
To me, I would describe her as an absolute bitch to be around as she never seems to compliment me in any way shape or form; even if I follow her orders to the letter, the only congratulations would range from not being scorn at to less pain from martial arts lessons. “Oh shit, I have to get to the tracks or Whirlpool will make me lick her feet again" I say to myself with a worry expression.
I run to the tracks and hope that Whirlpool is not too mad at me for being late again. As I was nearing the tracks, I notice a big bulky Pokémon there that is just standing there. When I got closer to see who it is, it says, not even turning its head, to me with a deep masculine voice, “William, you're late again." I then realize it is only Muscles, an average looking Machoke with the exceptions of being 9 feet tall (274.32 centimeters).
“Please Muscles, do not tell Whirlpool I am late" I say to him with a pleading tone “I do not want to be the training dummy again."
“Stop bitching and start running" he says in a stoic manner “or I will tell Whirlpool that you were late AND that you were begging to keep from being honest."
I stop my begging and just look at the track that can be summed up as “Arceus' Wrath." This was no ordinary track as it has the most insane combination of terrain anyone can imagine. At first glance it looks like an ordinary wheat field, but the catch is that it is over five miles long and contains hidden items that will make trainees stumble. That is only the beginning, as the recruits continues their pace, there is a mountain that they will have to hike up that is an additional three miles long and five hundred feet high with an incline of sixty degrees; there is also the occasional steep ledges, heavy winds, and traps that, of course, “my loving" parents would set. After moving through the mountains, everyone has to reach the tunnel entrance and enter the tight dark cavern that is impossible to see unless someone has unique vision that can lead the group to the exit. Once out of the unlit tunnel, there is a heavy water flow river that the team must walk across, and this river is incredibly furious on how much pressure per square inch of force it gives, in fact, it gives out more ten times more force than a firefighter's water hose. After the team makes it across the river, they get on top of their flying team members and head back to base for some good R&R; that is if the flying team members have any energy left. As I said, this is not an ordinary track.
“We-well who-whom will I be pa-pair up with" I say with more fear than facing a phobia.
“No one, you are by yourself" Muscles says with a stoic look.
When I heard that, I felt as though all the color has been drained from my body. I could feel my heart pounding from my throat, my blood pressure entering the thousands range, and my body shaking as though I am naked in a blizzard. It was difficult for many Pokémon to complete this course when they were in a team, but to do it by oneself is impossible, in fact, Whirlpool is the only Pokémon to have completed this course by herself before midnight. That last note is important because it is an automatic failure if the team, or individuals, does not complete this course before tomorrow morning. For me, however, it was not the failing that scares me; no, what scares me is what Whirlpool will do to me if I fail because she has taken great interest in using my failures for her own personal pleasure.
“If it makes you feel better, Fire is at the exit and will take you back to base" Muscles says to me in his usual apathetic tone during his working hours.
“Well at least there is some good news for me" I say to him in a more confident posture and voice.
“Bad news is that you are wasting time, in fact, it is already 12:00 pm" he says with what sounds a bit like he is worried that I will not pass.
I begin to feel more better about myself, knowing that Muscles is worried about me passing or failing, so I decide to cheer him up a bit by saying this to him with a more assertive tone, “don't worry Muscles, I will do my best."
After seeing a bit more determination on me, he smiles and simply says, “do me proud William."
