Nyx Mortar is understood to be a fairly reclusive man, but it is also widely known among the paparazzi and news circles that he can often be found drinking alone the night before a race. There are several specific bars across the Solar System where he is known to frequent, and appears to enjoy having a few drinks before the next day's race.
It is very difficult to approach Mr. Mortar for photos or comment, as he typically travels with both personal security, as well as paying off the bar's own security staff. He builds a protective wall of security around himself, much like how his bike the Roaring Rampart protects him in a race.
After much sleuthing, it has been discovered that his drink of choice is scotch with a bowl of cherries. The type of scotch does not appear to matter, but he's been known to purchase high dollar bottles. The type of cherry selected is often fresh cherries, as opposed to the traditional jarred cocktail cherries.
