Relia Concept Art
Hey yo, its Relia, from my story Dragon Ranch! Also known as "The dragon that's not named Nixi".
She was originally supposed to be the main companion of Kyle until Nixi stole the show with her crazy antics and personality. Not what I intended to happen but hey... sometimes stories write themselves!
I never fully figured out Relia's personality until close to the end of the dragon ranch story... but eventually I decided on her being a calm, loyal, quiet, and relaxed character that doesn't show a lot of emotion and lets her actions define her. Although she wasn't as near as memorable as Nixi, Relia had a certain charm to her, I think, especially of her trust and acceptance of Kyle. I wish I could go back to the story and explore her character more...
Random fact of the day: Relia was intended to embody many traits of a horse, including her red and spiny "mane", her long and muscular legs, and the fact that she's large enough to ride (Relia's shoulders are about waist-high).
Art is by , who I keep in my basement and force to draw me art in exchange for daily food rations (not really, he's just an awesome guy who likes to draw dragon-ish stuff)

If you know your horses, Relia is about the same size as a large pony or small horse (google "Icelandic Horse" if you want a visual reference).
And just for reference, Penelope (from my story, The Persistent Dragon) has about the same shoulder height as a Shetland Pony, though her body proportions are different. And Nixi is about the size of a jaguar.
I'm not gonna be 'that guy' and ask for more writing involving her, but you'd hear no complaints :).
