It strikes me that she's probably from a society that is very technologically (or magically) advanced, in the sense that her appearance seems to be an entirely self-designed fashion statement, rather than natural.

Probably she was like 'Can you make my fur blue and my hair red?" and the dude was like, "No problem," and she thought it was pretty good. But then she came back the next week and was like, "It needs bigger boobs," and several minor adjustments later, she decided she was happy with the heft and swing and said "Thanks" on the way out.

All of this in the same way that we'd ask for a burger and fries, of course, only quicker and with fewer side effects :3
