People fucking up and refusing to learn, eventually they need to be cut off
Won't name names but had one person in a sever I mod
They were often sus but everything was worded in just such a way as to be 'did they mean it that way or did it just come out wrong?' or 'maybe thye just don't know any better and are isolated from these groups'
So we tried to teach them that you can't just tar an entire people with the same brush because of the actions of a few
After they mis gendered a popufur who I happened to bring up in conversation in the sever i thought -well hol up, I know X and I know that there WAS a time when they went by their sex on one of their public accounts, sure it was only for a few months but maybe this person got confused by that
I knew this person well, they are a good friend, have been for many years and although they had always gone by their preferred pronoun online for over a decade across multiple accounts both before and after they got popular (other than those few months they went by thier sex due to a personal reason)
I thought I best check with them before taking any punitive action
In causal chat with them and admins from other severs I mentioned the problem childs name

Yes our problem child was known and known well
I found out they had been banned from 2 severs for, missgendering deliberately and repeatedly, racism, homophobia and trans phobia, islamaphobia and sexism (and I mean fucking BLATANT shit) Stuff that was 'ignorance/correct' at first but people tried to educated them that no native Americans are not bad, nor are Mexicans and nor are gays or Trans people or muslims and yes women should not just be in the kitchen
But oh this fucker DID learn
They learnt to word their shit more carefully, so they could offend and hurt people, but in such a way as to not get banned, and every strike they got on the sever, they dialled it back, even more carful wording, throwing out odd comments that were grey and could be read either way
From the other admins we discovered their twitter
shit like 'reservation rats' referring to natives, gays should be sterilised, PRIDE should be abolished because some people fetishes it
So in the end they got banned on 2 strikes not three
And we still keep an eye on thier twitter because hooooly fuck it's like this view into the world of the enemy
Still a utter scumbag who will constantly contradict themselves depending on if it serves their point in that argument
Long story short
Some people can';t be helped because they do not want to be helped, they want to hate and they will try to hurt you and your friends if you keep them around
So beware being to kind, some people are just scum
