"The nether is perceived differently by its denizens, making far more sense to them than to outsiders, who appear as ghost to the creatures of the nether whenever they are in it. However the more frequently those of the ether remain in the nether the more opaque they will become, making their presence more and more obvious to the creatures there. Even so, the nether is an unnatural place where things like physics do not behave in expected ways when compared to the ether. Exceedingly rarely when exploring the nether one may encounter strange beings that are not of the nether, but not of the ether either, always appearing far away and disappearing shortly after being noticed."
