What they were getting at, with my solo chars, is it wasn't dynamic enough; there wasn't a world or context in which they existed. I still do solo stuff - as you can see in my gallery :D - but with greater context (I'd like to think).
I totally agree with you and myself prefer the pictures that look like stills or some kind of image you might find between events in a game/movie that helps tie a plot together.
