A pair of 1958 Edsel Pacers, part of my model car collection
At first they were given plenty of negative comments and verbal flak for being Ford Motor Company's biggest mistake. They were called "bulky", "gaudy" (because of all that chrome), and "ugly". The critics especially hated the design of the center grille; they called it "horse collar", "toilet seat", "Oldsmobile sucking on a lemon". But today these "ugly ducklings" are being sought after and cared for by classic auto enthusiasts all over the country, and maybe all over the world.
