Keyblade Wars

Chapter 1---- A New Day

      One year, one year ago Sora defeated Xemnas. One year since they traveled from world to world, defeating thousands of Heartless and Nobodies.

One year, since they restored peace to the worlds and sealed the door to Kingdom Hearts. One year ago. Now Sora was living his life at his home, DestinyIslands, with his friends Riku and Kairi.

"Sora! Wake up Sora! Get up! All right have it your way. Thundaga!" A bolt of lightning came streaking down from the sky.

          "Reflega!" Sora responded before the lightning hit him. As a semi-clear shield surrounded Sora, Riku jumped out of the way before the shield could throw back his attack.

"Its noon and you're still snoozing!" Riku said.

"Since when do you enjoy a day?" Sora said returning to his hammock.

"Since I know I have a chance at beating you every day, now c'mon get up." Riku teased.

"Okay, one: there's no chance of you beating me, and two: I'm too tired to fight."

"Blizzaga!" he whipped around and shot a crystal of frozen air out from the tip of his Keyblade. He was trying to freeze Sora to convince him to fight.

"Reflega!" Sora was to fast for him. His shield threw back Riku's attack and froze him in a block of ice from the neck down.

"Not until you fight me." Riku said shivering, he wasn't desperate for a fight, but he was always up for a challenge even if he had to start it.

"Fine, I'll fight. Firaga!"  With this spell fire shot out of his Keyblade, melting Riku from his icy prison.

"Ahh, I move again." Riku said as the ice quickly melted "All right, don't hold back!"

"Never." Sora replied "Areoga!"  Sora swung his Keyblade in an under handed motion. Winds as strong as a hurricane blasted Riku with this spell.

"Whoa!" he shouted as he was almost blown away. "My turn! Raaahh!" he yelled as he went into a blitz of swings.                                                                 Sora blocked, dodged, and jumped whenever he could, and when he couldn't he had to endure the blow. As strong as they were, their attacks didn't hurt each other that much. When Riku got tired and started to slow down, it was Sora's turn. He went into a fury of slashes and uppercuts. Riku was starting to give in. Sora was the chosen Keyblade Master, and could wield it with incredible skill. Somehow Riku was also able to use a Keyblade, and so was Kairi. Once Kairi heard all the yelling and shouting, she came out of the treetop house.    

After she climbed down the 20ft ladder she walked over to them and said,

"Yeah!" They said simultaneously as Riku dodged and Sora attacked.

She summoned her Keyblade (all Keyblades are summoned magically out of thin air) and jumped in. She couldn't attack as well as Sora and Riku, but she had great defensive skills. She blocked and parried attacks that weren't even meant for her. Finally when Kairi's muscles grew numb and Riku could barely hold his Keyblade, they surrendered to Sora.

It's no surprise that he won, I mean after all he did defeat Organization XIII along with thousands of heartless and nobodies. Panting, and slightly tired, Sora walked over to Riku and Kairi and sat next to them.

 "Ahh." A huge sigh of relief came from Riku and Kairi as they regained their strength and energy.

"Much better" Kairi said, "I wish I had the stamina that you two have."

"It takes practice and training to build strength and stamina." Riku replied " But you still have a good defense."

Then a loud crack indicated someone came through a portal, three figures came walking down the beach.

"Sora, Riku, Kairi!" It was King Mickey, and he had Donald and Goofy with him. They were all armed.

"Uh-Oh, this can't be good." Sora looked curious and worried.

"Sora, what's going on? Why are they armed?" Kairi asked, she too looked worried.

"I don't know." he replied. "King Mickey would only be here if he needed us to fight."

"No! I don't want you guys to leave again!" Kairi complained.

"It's okay Kairi, if we go anywhere you can come with us." Sora said.

"Sora!! We missed you! It's too quiet at the castle without you." Donald shouted.                    

(If you've played any of the Kingdom Hearts videogames you would know that the King, Donald, and Goofy are Sora's best friends along with Riku and Kairi.)

"The Heartless are back!" Donald finished the King's sentence.

"Thank you, Donald. Yes the Heartless are appearing everywhere in every world."

Sora jumped in surprise "What!?! But we defeated the darkness!"

"Yes, and you sealed the door to Kingdom Hearts. But somehow a new force of darkness is controlling the heartless, and they must be powerful for the heartless to obey them." the King finished "Sora, are you up for another adventure?" he asked with a smirk.

As Riku, Donald, and Goofy tried to calm down Kairi, Sora discussed the mission with the King. They discussed the time it would take to possibly complete the mission, where they would stay, and possibilities of who or where the leader could be hiding.

"Okay, thanks you're Majesty; I should probably go try to calm Kairi down."

"Yeah. Donald! Goofy! C'mon!" King Mickey called them away from Kairi so that Sora could calm her down.

"Kairi, I have to go and so does Riku. And we would like you to come with us."

She crossed her arms and turned her back to Sora before saying "Okay, but this time I'm fighting too."

Sora didn't want her to get hurt, but it was the only way he could get her to go.

At these words Kairi turned around and gave Sora a hug.

With that they walked back to the King and everyone else.

"Yeah no problem! You guys have about two more days before we need to leave." The King said.

With that the King departed with Donald and Goofy.

"Well, another mission. Let's go pack, the King said that we'd be staying with Merlin in RadiantGarden."

 "That's the town that used to be called Hollow Bastion." Sora answered "Now c'mon we need to go prepare, we'll pack our bags and provisions today and start training tomorrow."

After that they got in their boats and headed for their homes on the mainland.   

Once they reached the mainland they set of in different directions, Riku in one, Sora and Kairi in another. It was a quiet walk until Kairi asked

"I mean, won't our parents miss us? Won't they know that were missing?"

"Kairi, just last year you had the courage to jump into a portal of darkness to come and find me. And now you're scared of leaving?"

"Well, kinda. Last time I left I didn't plan anything, I didn't think about it, I just left."

"Don't worry Kairi, everything will be okay. Riku and I will be with you, and the King said this shouldn't take more than a year. We'll be back before you know it. Now, my house is that way, will you be okay?"

After he finished packing, Sora made a trip to the market. He bought potions, elixirs, and such things needed for such a long trip. Afterward he went and sat on the beach, and to his surprise he found Kairi and Riku already sitting there. Together they set of for the Island to start their training.

On the last day, they sat and watched the sunset from the Island.

"Tomorrow we set sail for RadiantGarden." Sora said.

"I can't believe that we won't see our homes for another year." Kairi said sadly.

"C'mon, we'll see all our old friends again. Remember Leon, Yuffie, Cid, and Aerith? We might even see Hayner, Pence, and Olette. It'll be like a vacation." Sora said.

Riku nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, I guess this is it." Kairi said trying to be cheerful.

"C'mon we need our rest. Let's head back home." Sora said with a yawn.

With those words they silently went to the boats, and went home.
