My fursona's older brother Ymir (pronounced ee-meer, his nickname is Yami), doing... whatever it is he does.
Japanese text says "nan desu ka", which means "what is it?" (formal, although I guess it works since Ymir is a nobleman XD), and "e[h]."

"[i]Nan desu ka[/i]" is actually a polite form of "What is it". For the one-word "What" question, you would say "[i]Nani[/i]", which normally uses a kanji.

Oh, okay! My books all start of with romaji and barely touch on kanji, so what I know is mostly formal tense, and I've only learned a few kanji so far. ^^' Thanks for the correction! :3

You're welcome. Learn some kanji on the side as they're important for conveying meaning. http://jisho.org is a good place to start. Seriously, [i]Nihongo[/i] has way more homonyms than [i]Eigo[/i].

I have a book on the 2000 essential kanji that I've been studying on the side, I'm planning on studying harder now that I've rejoined Pixiv.net, too, and after next year I want to start taking summer courses. Fortunately I'm good at recognizing kanji when I see them, but writing them is going to take some getting used to. XD
