Coppertone Shelandra
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Most of you know her already, but here's the first artwork depicting Shelandra, Goddess of Fire and Passion!
Lovingly crafted by , Shelandra is one of the four Naga deities in my full length serialized book, Child of the Sands! Go read the book for more details on exactly who and what she is, or look at Kyra's page for more art.

S: Are you implying that I don't...?
Her tail does nothing more than tickle, but it remains in a dangerous place.
"Like I could fight? Like I... would want to fight..."
"Like you would need to fight... I'll always see to your needs, even if you disagree with me about what they are."
"That's why there will always be a small part of me that's scared of you.", he smiled.
"Silly boy... you only need to be scared if you've been naughty. Have you been naughty?"
"Oh no... you won't get that punishment again for a long time... I like to think up new and interesting punishments. I do hope you're naughty again sometime soon... I'm eager to try some of them."
"Ugh... okay..."
"You might be my favorite mortal, Yogoloth... but next time, I expect you to see to my needs first..."
There was a hint of mocking sarcasm on her tongue before that too disappeared.
S: Stop... I... I don't demand such gestures.
S: Stop, just stop. I have no use for gems and precious metals, and I may have whatever companion I wish. I enjoy friendship, and courtship is pleasing, but I seek neither love nor worship. I'm a craftswoman, a blacksmith! Though I will not tolerate disrespect, formality does not suit me.
She said this despite her regal appearance and lofty tone. She then remembered that such an appearance might be partially the cause; her bronze scales were rather striking, and she was noticeably larger than most viper Naga grow. She shrank her form to a mortal size, and removed the metallic glint from her scales. She subtly altered her face, adding small imperfections, and exchanged her regal tone for a slightly more unsure and wavering voice.
S: Please, I really only want for friends.
"Call me Shell. Don't worry about it... I'm just not suited to such lofty regards, yes? I'm not afraid of getting my hands dirty, especially if I have someone to dirty them with."
"Me? Flirting? Dear Samuel, I do far more than flirt."
"I'm not trying to pretend anything... Really. I just don't like being worshipped and praised... It just feels wrong, especially since-"
She bit her tongue off here, and it vanished into nothing promptly. A new one grew back in it's place, and the entire action took no more than half a second.
"It just doesn't feel right."
"Oh...oh gods please tell me that was an accident." He grinned as he wiped a tear away. After a moment he hugged her back. "Regardless of accident or not, you ma'am, are fricking adorable!"
"not an accident... My mouth gets ahead of my mind sometimes, and it's easier to bite my tongue off than to say something I shouldn't. I'm glad you're pleased though."
Her hands wandered down his back, one sliding around his torso and into his pants.
"But I am a creature of passion; it sustains me, and I find myself exhausted from todays work. Give a poor girl some fun?"
"That's exactly it. I don't know yet... you get to help me find out. What are -you- in the mood for..."
She wrapped her other arm around his shoulders and lifted him gently, carrying him out of sight...
I would love to see how Shelandra and Duo get along, but it might be complicated by Duo's reaction to divines. Though, I get the impression that she appreciates a hunt....
It's late, and my subtlety is broken.
