Looks like Miss CC has always had a thing for older gents.

I'm certainly not questioning her taste. And there isn't a lot that I can be blackmailed over. Maybe being a guest at the Nixon White House in 1969. Other than that, my life's an open book. A very lewd, prurient, and sexually explicit book, but an open one just the same.

Will the local judge take conditioning into consideration when I gun down some innocent fur suiter or break their larynx when they come rushing up on me unexpectedly?

I doubt it. On the other hand, you get used to it, either by rolling with it, or by avoiding the most obnoxious perpetrators of this conduct. For whatever reason, you see more of this at Anthrocon than anyplace else.

The wife and I were just discussing the apparent upsurge in Cos-play and the like and comparing it to ancient (but still practiced) costume traditions like the Carnival in Rio and Venice, the German Fasching parades, etc. People just like to cover up and let it all hang out it seems. There must be a psychological theory behind why that is.

I came from Louisiana; I thought it was genetic.

I retired last year and they still haven't closed out my pay account or sent the money for the 40 vacation days they owe me.

Ouch! I'm sorry to hear that, Dikran. I've never retired from American Government work but, I believe it's better than that, especially if you're an elected official. I understand that, even after ONE term, they have a retirement plan that pays better than Social Security ten times over. And they "wonder" why they can't afford to give our Social Security recipients a raise every year.
