On a cold, lonely night in the middle of the wilderness, even the fiercest of predator species may occasionally set aside their aggression in return for a night spent in warmth and comfort... and that's when certain spirits of the forest make themselves known, willing and able to tend to the oft ignored need for companionship in those too prideful to admit it to their peers.

When I first devised the character who would later become Silver, this image was one of the first clear mental pictures I had in mind for him. While I still see him as a Ranger type, I've also saw him as attuned to the forest in a deeply spiritual way, to where he may seem like a ghost or fleeting shadow to all but those whose hearts are receptive to the need to seek help or change. In that sense, he's very special to me because I feel I was the first one he helped, in a personal way.
