Just a re-imagining of Vesper as Bloodborne / Lovecraftian / Dark-Crystal bird being. It started as a sort of "were-dragon" form of Vesper, in which the dragon details would have taken over the normally more prominent owl part. But it quickly spiraled out into something more alien; eldritch even.
