Suihei ; across the worlds
This is the first set of world attire, with 'why i picked these things' going from left to right. Yes, I am going to talk the frick out of your ears until you get tired of hearing about why the outfits are they way they are ; we decided to blend girly-girl with tomboy for reasons that fall along the lines of, well, she's a bit of both. Like a weird blend of it.

1 - Sword in The Stone ; I actually haven't the slightest where we were going for this ; originally we were going to make another fanciful clothing allusion, though we essentially settled for the classic tunic. Because I'm absolutely horrible at coloring, myself, the classic adventurer green had to suffice for this instance. To be completely and utterly honest, the whole concept behind the world was 'let's help Arty find Excalibur' so it's probably one of her more slightly-more-masculine bits of attire.
2 - Pocahontas. Legitimately inspired by this lovely .gif She also got a cardinal feather for a dumb reason like - they're native to my home state. c:
3 -Treasure Planet of course ; Somewhere along the line, Space Pirates /had/ to be a thing. So, we decided to go with that. Space Pirates - which leads to a case of misidentification and the realization that, hey, while being dressed as a pirate is cool, it's not cool when you wake up in the brig, or . . . whatever. Hella cool clothes though tbh.
4) Suihei as a mouse.
The idea of her having no control over her tail was a bit too amusing for me, or the artist to pass up. Of course, since this is a sketch the tail is waaaay on the other end of the rest of the art for some god forsaken reason, so, we put her in a pinafore, gave her a jacket and a neat hat, hoped for the best. While I don't think it's time accurate ( doesn't Great Mouse Detective take place in 1897(???) it's p friggin' cute. So.
5) Alice in Wonderland (2010) / Underland - One word ; steampunk. Since I gave Viiraa creative reign over however she wanted the outfit to be, she just sorta. Threw together steampunkish things and hoped for the best. So we get an image of her dressing like how I'd assume any of Underland's inhabitants would. Bless.
6) Atlantis ( see? She even did Atlantean script ) ; actually I had no idea what we were doing here, I just vaguely recall telling Viiraa that it would probably be for the best if Suihei had something practical, while representing the world in a way. So, we decided to go with making her outfit Atlantean for reasons that fall along the lines oooooof - "Wow those crystals are really great and Cyan is an awesome color."
7) Primary Attire - Really, it's based on modifying Sora's KH2 attire into something a bit more feminine by baring midriff, adding an extra belt, turning them into like, cargo pants or whatever - while far from unique it's a staple that hasn't found a need to be removed just yet.
