Another rejection, another failure. Sarah had shut herself from the outside world. She didn't bother to turn on the light in the dark room, instead opting for a light near her sketchbook. Sarah dropped into her chair and busied herself with her work. She lost herself in her work. The young girl's blue eyes were half off into space while her hands busied themselves on the well used sketchbook. Her hands sketched a cartoon inspired by the pony show that helped her channel her creativity and spark. She was sketching her favourite character, Rarity, getting her mane just right. Oh what would she would give to escape from her life even for just one day... So many college rejections. Joyless weeks spent working dead end jobs. All for the hope of that dream job she so wanted.
In truth, one of her favourite things was figuring outfits and elaborate designs for her characters. But sadly, she was awful at wonderful designs. Ooooh, she'd want anything to succeed! She finished sketching Rarity, the girl's eyes looked down at Rarity's confident smile. She always loved Rarity and viewed her as her dream personality. Confident... in charge, always out for her friends. She'd love to be just like her...
A wind brushed through her hair. It was warm and inviting. Sarah blinked, she kept the window closed didn't she? And it was pouring rain outside. She turned and saw what appeared to be a purple dragon in her home! Sarah screamed and jumped back, falling against the desk. The pens fell to the ground with a clatter.
“W,why is there a floating dragon in my house?! What even are you?” She demanded of the dragon. That's it... she was going crazy. The dragon smiled at her and his feet touched the ground. “I am Moses, at your service.” He bowed with a flourish, his arms coming up in the air from the big bow. “I am here to grant your deepest desires... you wanted to escape this life didn't you? Well, a dragon like me enjoys seeing people get what they want. Even if you might be surprised by it, I'm sure you'll come to enjoy it”
“You do what? You must be joking” Was Sarah dreaming? It felt like it. The dragon walked forward to her. His eyes glowed a bright purple haze. In the darkness of the room, they filled Sarah's gaze. His hands came into view, the glowing magic swirling around them. His eyes gleamed with delight.
“Now... be a good pony and stay still. This will only take a moment.” With a wave of his hands, a strong warmth spread through Sarah's body. Her body felt off, her hands wouldn't answer her commands. Sarah looked down.
Sarah cried out and looked down at her hands, her hands hardening into hardened hooves. She shrieked, her voice growing closer to Rarity's own voice! Purple bouncy mane hair falling into her scared eyes. White dashing fur was going all over her body. Sarah's back gave and she fell down onto all fours. Her hooves clapped against the hard wooden floors When she wished to be like Rarity, this wasn't what she meant! The dragon laughed as he worked. His magic continued to change her into the pony.
Her new body was all too different. She struggled on her new hooves. Sarah's new body moved in odd ways. Finally her back gave out. She fell onto all floors, her hooves smacking the wood with a loud clop. Sarah's mane flicked around as she stared at her changing body. Little was left of the human's body, a bright purple tail falling behind her. Rarity's cutie mark appearing on her own flank. She was really turning into Rarity... It was all too real.
It wasn't just the pony that was changing, her place was overgoing a change of its own. Her once quiet and small place was changing before her eyes! Her big cartoony eyes stared in shock as a magical wave swept over her place, changing it into Rarity's core design room. Colour flooded her sight, the whole place turning cartoony and vivid. Mannequins, dresses, and an assortment of fabrics filled the new room. It looked exactly like Rarity's own studio! She turned to face him, but the dragon had shifted into a pony. He shifted into a female like her, her mane bouncing as she walked forward to be muzzle to muzzle with her.
“Now now, don't you just make the cutest pony? You might be upset, you might be wishing for your humanity back... well to that I say too bad.” Moses walked around her body, admiring her handiwork of the new pony. Rarity was staring at Moses with speechless shock. She wasn't going to turn back ever?!
“It might take some time to get used to, but I think you'll LOVE being Rarity my dear.” Moses hoof came up to his face as he rubbed his chin. The changes finished in the room, instead of the drab apartment, it was instead Rarity's studio. A bright colourful place brimming with the newest fashions of equestrial. “Don't worry about matching Rarity's fashion skills. I'm sure you'll find yourself suitably skilled for that. Isn't that what you wanted? A nice getaway from your old life. Now to live a pony's dream job... Being a fashion designer? You get to make all the outfits you want. Your creativity is your limit!”
Rarity blinked as she tried to take that in. She turned her head and peered at a mannequin. A half finished dress laid on it with a sewing thread nearby. Already her head was swimming with ideas for the half finished design. 'right... some glitter there will go lovely, and some lacing here. Yes, I can already see the perfect dress!' Moses was right! She shuffled on akward hooves over and placed a hoof against the mannequin, lost in thought for a moment. She turned to face the pony.
“But... why do this? Why transform me into Rarity?” Moses laughed, his voice high and clear. He walked up close to her, one gleaming eye facing her.
“Because Rarity, I wanted to. I enjoy taking mortals such as yourself and transforming them. Call it my hobby. It's always a delight to see how you react to something impossible. But... I'm sure you will come to enjoy it. Though expect a few more customers that weren't in the show to appear.” He walked away, his head turned to the exit. “After all, you aren't the only human in equestria. It could do with some expansion.
