Bah, finally done with my one and only artwork for this May, finished and uploaded on Memorial Day. The genesis of this idea came from seeing one of Predaguy's commission art a few months back, of a female character in lingerie reading a book and I had the thought "imagine a cute gal in pink undies reading gothic horror". Unfortunately, I didn't expect that idea to take a whole damn month to complete.

The general setup here was a little comic strip with my Deinonychus character Irene when she was living in a duplex with her roommate Sherry Qing, a Qianzhousaurus who was attended UW to become a practiced nurse. The two of them were having time off in their shared bedroom, Irene playing games on her 360 while Sherry is reading a book... which turns out to be a bit of a surprise for her raptorian roommate.

I was debating on whether to go with Lovecraft or Poe, eventually deciding the latter as Lovecraft is a bit overdone in recent years and I was amused imagining a sweet chick reading Mask of the Red Death. Sherry's coloration was based directly off of the Qianzhousaurus from Jurassic World: Evolution 2, at least the scale pattern I chose for mine.
