"Drawn in 1995. Have I got a story for you! Way back when I was very little, my folks had a typewriter, and I absolutely loved typing on that thing. I loved reading, too! I think I had just read Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH when I was 11 (1987), and not only did that ignite my passion for art, I wanted to give writing a try. I wanted my own word of mice! So, I tried typing up part of a story for a while, got tired, and eventually gave up. I still loved the idea, though, so I kept revisiting the concept over the years. I know Beth and Steve were the main characters, but I can't remember too much else about what I had planned. I'm happy to share my designs, though! I still think they're really cute.

If I had to do it all over again, I'd probably choose names a little less obviously ""human-sounding""."
