I don't know, the simulation normally flips out when you create a short and blatantly tells you that something is wrong and freezes it in place but maybe I found a way around it.

Those are actually spark gaps. Old things you don't see in modern electronics anymore because the same effect can be accomplished with diodes and transistors and the likes. Tesla didn't have the luxury of such semiconductors and so he found a way to do such things without them. Basically they allow almost no flow of electricity until the voltage reaches a certain point and then you get arching and lots of electricity can flow. Basically the idea is you sparking massive flows through the transformers to get equally massive out puts.

Actually I'm working in reverse. Using transformers to go from moderate voltages and amps to extremely low amps and massive voltages. Why there are massive amps running through the first transformer?......uhhhh.... Excellent question, next question. XP

Have you studied his last gizmo to extract free electricity from the ionosphere? Do you know if it ever really worked? I am intrigued how he'd make it work, but I bet it might if he can somehow get the air to deposit its charge or arc to load it. Apparently there are some hobbyists that have tried it and it might be functional.

I did not know much about him and saw a movie on his life recently. It is fascinating.

You have an impressive knowledge of his works. And that god you know that the free energy idea comes from somewhere! To many people think it's like an infinite energy thing.

Whether something ever worked or not with Tesla is a tricky subject. I think he lived half in our world and half in his mind. A brilliant man but sometimes a bit...detached I think. For instance did you know he wanted to build an open ended vacuum tube for his dooms day machine? Weird thing is I've seen the plans for it and it looks like it could work. I'm actually going to try and build a radiant energy collector this summer if I have free time. Mine's based more on radio waves just because capacitive couplings a bit out there for me but hey, they're all kind of interconnected.
