2 Look at some pictures some people have made that are similar to your fursona/furry
3 Shading is key to a 3d looking drawing especially with pencil work
4 Only draw when you are in the mood and your in a possotive state of mind
5 Use fairly thick A4 paper on a hard surface with like more paper underneath ( and never draw on both sides of paper)
6 Most importantly art is very hard, practice/repitition is key, it can take a while to get good and finally dont beat yourself up because other people post really detailed and complex images as the vast majority of people use computor programs with a few years practice.
And really so far i have no other advice unless you really want some tips on watercolours and methods in which case talk to me on msn or steam.
Also i have only been doing fine art GCSE for a year now and let me tell you, i am a lot better than i was before i took the course. (because of practice)
2-If you have an Ipad - there are apps you may want to try. [Note: it'll be great if you have a stylus]
3- If you have a Bamboo Wacom: there's a link you might wanna download.
4- Or if you don't have # 2 and # 3 but knows how to use a mouse to draw, try this: http://sketchfu.com/ [you might have to sign up in order for you to draw free]
5- Or you could try MS Paint, which is built-in in your computer. [ go to your start button, and at the search box, type 'paint'. Click Paint and you will have you own digital sketchbook.] Try to draw it with a mouse. Even though you're might think you're better off on pencil and paper, this is just a practice to see how good you are drawing on a mouse.
I haven't done art in over five years and I wanna know if I'm still rusty on my by-gone talents by trying it with a mouse. Sometimes it looks pretty easy but until you wanna get into details, it gets tricky. And if it does, THEN try it with your pencil and paper to draw. You'll notice that drawing traditionally is more fun than digitally.
But if all the five tips fail, then my last resort will be if you have any action figure [whether gijoe or a marvel comic book figure] or any kind of doll or figurine that is poseable. Reason: bend and pose that figurine in any shape, like running for example. And then: copy it. That's it. I bought an articulate Barbie doll at the flea market for $2 bucks cause her anatomy is quite an hour glass. You notice that some of the characters with challenging positions of my drawings were taken from her.
Uh-oh, now you know my secret. lol...But it's fun and you can try it too. Let me know on what you think? good luck.
Speaking about your double avatar switching back and forth, how did you do that?
You just go to settings, Click on Change Avater, then add another Pic. In truth, I kind of found that out by excident n_n;
