Howling Stone Magazine Cover, Issue #1247
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
PLEASE READ BEFORE PROCEEDING:
I did not draw the anthropomorphic Border Collie.
Janice Carter was drawn by Terrah, whose username is ajna on Furaffinity.
The character Janice Carter belongs to darkduck64 on FurAffinity.
My work revolves around the design of the Howling Stone magazine cover. I did everything here except draw the female dog.
A lot of graphic design work went into making the magazine cover.
darkduck64's character Janice Carter plays the electric guitar, and that character is the sole inspiration for this piece, so the character is a perfect fit for this piece.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Believe it or not, this isn't the first art upload where I actually try to make something decent.
My first couple of uploads where pencil sketches.
Besides the sketches, everything else in my art folder is pure shit. xD
UNTIL NOW!!!!!
Okay, so some time ago, I found this Border Collie character named Janice that plays the electric guitar. Uber sexy. Woof.
Anyway, I thought it would fun to try and make a Rolling Stone magazine cover featuring this character.
In order to have even MORE fun with it, I made it have a furry-themed twist.
It took me 8+ hours using paint.NET to fuck around with the Rolling Stone logo until I could turn it into Howling Stone.
Honestly, about 85% of the work went just into making the Howling Stone logo. 85%. Unbelievably long time.
Once that was done, I had to then make the rest of it look as legit as possible while also giving it a furry twist.
I notice that Rolling Stone has been a little political lately, and I know Toumal would make a legit furry president should there ever be one, so...yeah. He made the cover.
The FA thing is a half-joke, by the way. Some shit actually went down. Makes it even more legit. xD
And who wouldn't want to know how Leilani writes so well? I also would like to be a writer, so she's a great source of inspiration. She gives my brain a boner. I feel like a unicorn.
lulz
Fox Amoore and Renard are real furry musicians for those of you who didn't catch the reference. I considered also using Mayhem, but I felt that Renard's work is a bit more Howling Stone worthy.
With Jack Russell, well...I shouldn't have to explain that one.
I EVEN ADDED THE BARCODE, MONTH OF PUBLICATION AND COST OF THE MAGAZINE. DETAILS!!! WOO HOOO!!!
Enjoy.
