at the greasy spoon
Another piece from the '00-'01 sketchbook, this one though is a disinterested deer waiting tables. The greasy marks were literally the oil of something that I had painted and set down on top of it and had seeped down onto that page. I couldn't have even tried for that creative of a background. By the way, this is one of my few drawings that indeed did get colored.
