The Empress’ Finery
Having been born into the Imperial Family as daughter to the then Emperor, Kira has always been accustomed to the finer things in life. Some things stood out, even for her, however. Among these things were the vast number of exquisite dresses she had access to. Made from the finest imported silk and created by some of the best tailors in the Empire, the Crown Princess was always well dressed and loved little more than being able to excitedly show off her latest finery to her friends and companions. While she was certainly a child of wealth, she remained grounded and was not prone to snobbery with her possessions; the phoenix merely had the same excitement that any young woman would have when acquiring a pleasing new dress.
Her favourite dress had to be, and still is, one she received as a birthday gift from her parents. A flowing white silk garment with golden birds patterned across it in such a way that, when the dress shifted and flowed around her as she walked, it appeared as if the various birds were flapping their wings in flight around her. Having already worn it many times in the past, and with many being familiar with the Crown Princess wearing the dress, it became her expected appearance at both important official and social engagements.
True to form, after her lengthy coronation ceremony in full regalia, the new Empress was all too happy to shed the weighty and hot clothing of office and change into her favourite dress for the celebrations at the Imperial Palace that evening. Happy to be with her personal friends once more after being separated throughout the official events of the day, she gave the dress a swish with a smile on her face and headed to reconvene with them. She left them as Crown Princess, but she returned to them as Empress.

An old commission from back in 2014 that I recently got permission from the artist to upload here. This is actually a gift gotten for me by my friend Zepher87 (https://www.furaffinity.net/user/zepher87). Some of you will have noticed some differences in Kira’s design from this image to the more up to date ones and yes, this is an older design of her. Regardless, I really like this image. I was really happy with how it turned out at the time and, despite changes having been made to her design since, I still love it just as much. Anyhow, just a sort description for this image as I couldn’t think of too much and it’s exceptionally late at the time of writing, but I still like to put something lore related where I can.
