I soon came into the dining room where my new family was waiting for me, Jock was there two standing by the table with his hands behind his back. Even though I had been here before when Harry gave me a tour of the mansion I still stared in awe at the magnificent room. In the middle of the room I saw the dining table which had five chairs on either side of the table and two more chairs that were each end of the table. I saw that Harry was sitting at the far end of the table with Perry sitting on the left side of the table and Cody and Ryan sitting on the right. 

“Well? Are you going to stand there all night?" I heard Harry ask which slapped me out of my daydreaming trance.

“Sorry" I said meekly as I felt myself blushing, I heard Cody giggle as I walked to a chair that Jock had pulled out for me next to Perry. When I sat down Jock helped me push my chair in to which I nodded my thanks when he finished before he left the room. I poured myself some orange juice into a glass that was next to me and took a small sip of the glorious beverage. I then looked up at Perry who I noticed was wearing a creamy grey floral kimono maxi dress which had flower patterns on it. Perry gave me a reassuring smile and I felt her fluke on my lap which shocked me at first but then I calmed down since she was just reassuring me everything was fine.

“So..." Harry began as he took a sip of his drink which had a brown liquid in it which I now know to be Whiskey. I looked at Harry's attire which consisted of a red velvet smoking jacket with a white button shirt and tied around his neck a dark blue cravat which was tucked in his shirt I saw on the cravat that there were silver Fleur-de-lis. Harry put down his drink and looked at us before saying “who's hungry?"

Immediately Cody's arm shot up as he exclaimed excitedly with “me me me!" everyone on the table laughed including me at Cody's enthusiasm.

“Well we know you are" Harry said before looking at me with a big smile “what about you Jake you hungry? After all you've had a long journey."

It was true I was really hungry and I heard my stomach let out a growl and I clutched it hoping my stomach wasn't that loud but to my demise everyone heard it.

“I think your stomach answered for you" Harry said with a hearty chuckle to which everyone else joined in. I looked down at my lap in embarrassment but then I felt Perry's hand under my chin and she brought my gaze to hers as I saw her giving me a loving smile.

“Don't feel embarrassed sweetheart it's perfectly normal" she said in a soft voice before giving me an affectionate nuzzle on my forehead to which I blushed.

“Yeah buddy it's only this hurricane here that isn't normal when it comes round to his stomach noises" Ryan said pointing to Cody who shot him a glare.

“HEY! Since when?" Cody snapped back.

Ryan did a over-dramatic thinking pose before answering “oh I don't know maybe Hawaii when we went hiking."

“Oh god please don't tell Jake that story" Cody pleaded to Ryan having remembered that time.

But Ryan gave an evil smirk knowing he had the upper power. Ryan turned back to me and started telling me the story “it was two years ago and we went on holiday to Hawaii as you guessed and one day dad said it would be an excellent idea to hike up one of the many mountains in Hawaii so we all agreed. We got to the closet mountain and hiked and all that Jazz anyway..." Ryan was about to continue when Cody put his hand over his brothers muzzle to shut him up but Perry said in a angry tone “Cody let go of your brothers muzzle this instant its not that embarrassing." Cody just huffed in annoyance knowing it was pointless as he let go of his older brothers muzzle.

“Thanks mother" Ryan said as he gave his younger brother a small glare before lightening up and continuing the story “anyway we got back to our hotel room when the sun was setting, had a shower and got dressed into our dinner suits because we were going out to eat at a very posh restaurant. Cody here was so hungry that when we had ordered our food his tummy was rumbling so loud it sounded like a hurricane. It was heard throughout the whole restaurant and..." Ryan started to chuckle as did Harry and Perry “and everyone looked at us and old Cody here felt so embarrassed that he excused himself to the bathroom and didn't come out until the food was served."

I tried so hard not to laugh at the story but I couldn't help it and started laughing and everyone else as well except Cody. “But..." I said between laughs “but how did you know when the food was served?"

“Because I went to go get him" Harry said as he was wiping a tear away from his eye.

“I wasn't that loud guy's" Cody said defensibly.

“No your right... just loud enough for the whole restaurant to hear you" Ryan said and well all burst into a fit of laughter while Cody just crossed his arms and huffed in annoyance.

After our laughter had died down Harry changed the subject “well one thing for sure is Jake, your in luck because today is Sunday and on every Sunday we have a Sunday roast, its a shame your sister isn't here because she always loves Samuel's roast chicken."

“Do you like chicken?" Cody asked as he leaned forward on the table eager to know my answer.

“Yeah, I love chicken" I said as I heard my stomach growl again. Soon Jock came in, pushing a food trolley with a white cloth draped over the trolley and sitting on top of the cloth was a medium sized tray and a large sized tray both with a silver domed serving lid on top to cover up the food. When Jock came up to the table he placed the two trays in the middle of table before leaning over the table and grabbed the handles of both the serving lids and took them off the trays to reveal the delicious food underneath. On the medium tray was the chicken all cut into slices for us, on the large tray was half a pile of boiled, skinned potatoes and the other side carrots and sweet corn.

“Whelp, dig in" Harry said.

After he said that we took bits and pieces off of the two trays with our forks. We didn't say much after that we just ate with a little bit of small talk but it was mainly us eating we also asked questions like how was our day and I found out that Cody was eight years old and Ryan was fourteen while we were eating. Jock brought out a small silver jug that contained gravy and poured it on our food if we asked for it. Before I knew it I had cleaned my plate and sat back against my chair satisfied with the meal I had just eaten.

“So..." Harry started as he wiped his muzzle with his napkin to get rid of the gravy before continuing “does anyone feel like they want dessert?"

“No thanks darling I'm stuffed" Perry said with a smile as she rubbed her belly.

“I'm good too" Ryan said as well.

“Yeah same here" Cody said as he let out a belch to which Harry and Perry both gave him a frown “sorry" Cody said as he looked at the floor in shame. They all soon looked at me and I just shook my head.

“Well" Harry said as he stood up “ that settles it" Harry looked at Jock who just bowed his head knowing to tell the Chef the news “I suggest we all go to the entertainment room and watch a film" Ryan and Cody cheered at that as they got out of their chairs and ran to the exit. Harry just chuckled as he saw Cody's tail shoot round the door before saying “they always love film night" he said as he offered his hand to Perry who took his hand and got up herself.

I looked at both of them as they smiled at each other and I smiled seeing that they loved each other very much and I knew that they had the same amount of love for their children and me I suppose since they adopted me but why? Why did they adopt me?

“Jake?" I heard Perry's voice as I came back from my thoughts, I looked to the left of me and saw Perry towering over me with her head out for me to take “you coming to watch a film?" I nodded as I took her hand and her hand soon engulfed mine and I got off the chair and the three of us, Harry, Perry and myself left the dining leaving Jock as he started to clean the table.

Soon we were in the entertainment room or, as I called it, the cinema room. I looked over to see Ryan and Cody looking through the huge bookshelf of DVD's.

“So what did you choose boys?" Harry asked as he sat down on a cinema like chair.

“I got it" Cody said as he brought out a DVD and handed it to Harry who read the cover.

“'Who Framed Roger Rabbit'? Oh that is a good choice and suitable might I add for Jake here" Harry said as he took out the disk and placed it in a DVD player that was next to him.

“Hey Jake sit next to me" Cody said as he sat down and patted the seat to the right of him. I happily accepted and sat next to him and Perry sat to the left of me so I was kinda sandwiched between a small Orca and a large Orca, I also felt Perry's tail on my shoulder and I looked up at her and she was giving her soft smile which I smiled back to.

“Have you seen Roger Rabbit?" Ryan asked as he sat down on the other side of his brother.

“No I haven't" I replied looking at the huge screen as it turned on.

“Well then, your in for a treat" Harry said with a smile as he pressed play on the remote and the film began.

Perry's P.O.V

When we were halfway through the film I felt something resting on my left thigh, I looked down to see Jakes head resting on my thigh sound asleep, I quietly awed at the sight and nudged my husband who looked at me with a smile, I motioned to my thigh and he looked and saw Jake. He looked back up at me with a big smile and said quietly “cute" I just nodded back to him and then we went back to the film.

When the Film ended I tapped on Cody's shoulder who looked up to me, I put a finger to my muzzle and shushed him then pointed to the still sleeping Jake. Cody saw Jake and quietly giggled before poking Ryan and then pointing to Jake, Ryan looked over and smiled before whispering “you know, he's adorable when he's asleep."

“Gay" Cody muttered but loud enough for Ryan to hear to which he elbowed Cody in the side. I just rolled my eye's before whispering “you two head on up to bed it's late, it's nearly past midnight" Ryan and Cody just nodded as they yawned and made their way out of the room.

I looked over to Harry and said quietly “I'll take this cutie up to bed."

Harry just nodded and said “I'll sort out everything here you go on."

I nodded and gave Harry a small kiss on his cheek before turning my attention to Jake who was still sleeping. I gently scooped him up into my arms and cradled him like I did when Cody and Ryan were just babies. Seeing him there in my arms made my heart melt in awe and I gave him a small kiss on his forehead and I saw him smile.

I left the room and walked down the hallway to the grand staircase as I made my way there Jock passed and when he saw Jake in my arms he smiled while he whispered “master asleep already?" I just nodded and he quietly chuckled before saying “I don't blame the little fella anyway I'm off to bed, I've cleaned everything in the dining room."

“Thanks Jock" I whispered and he just bowed his head in reply and walked off down the hallway. I carried on towards Jakes room and before I knew it I was outside his bedroom, with one hand and Jake cradled in my other arm I turned the knob on the door and quietly opened it up before entering.

I saw that Jake still had his duffel bag on the bed so I put that on the ground and then laid Jake down on his bed but as I went to move my arms away I heard Jake whimper before saying quietly “mum please don't go" feeling sorry for the kid I laid down next to him on his bed. Luckily the bed was big enough to fit both of us, I could feel Jake shivering even though it was summer his room was rather cold, I brought Jake closer to me and wrapped my arms around his chest and wrapped my tail around his legs like a snake protecting him from the cold in his room.

“Goodnight darling, I love you" I whispered to him and I heard a faint “I love you too" which made me smile before I drifted off to sleep.

Harry's P.O.V

After I had finished with everything in the entertainment room I made my way up stairs to my room.

As I was about to pass Jakes room I saw that his door was open, I peeked in to see that Perry was lying on his bed with her back facing me. I quietly tiptoed to her and looked over her to see that she was asleep while cuddling up against our newest member of our family, Jake. I smiled seeing them together and I tiptoed out looked one more time at them before whispering “don't worry Jake we will protect you, it's what your farther wanted me to do if he ever..." I then stopped and dipped my head and a single tear fell from my eye.

Oh James I should have seen this coming, but after a month I've found him, I'll keep him safe from our old enemy's... its what you made me promise to and I will see it through. I then closed the door and made my way to my bedroom.
