I know very little- that after practicing it for a year or more.

Then I have golf skill! It IS possible, of course. If you stand in the wrong place, and get UNDER the ball (which, granted is hard to do with a driver), you'll get that basic trajectory. Most commonly, you'll get a swing and miss, or the dread nine foot hop. Still, if it exists as a direction, someone has put a golf ball there.

Having a water retriever could be a real asset on certain courses.

I'd need a bloodhound and a terrier too in a foursome to find all my lost balls.

I understand Canadians have orange balls so they can play in the snow and not get lost.

and the British Columbians (Columbites?) with their Roach Clip-like thumb and index fingers.

The adverse conditions here have forced us to adapt faster than those of you who live in temperate zones.

Of course the US government is trying to slow it down least we evolve into super beings who also own all the fresh water and oil left on the continent. That is why they let so many of us settle in Florida for half the year .. to warm us up and slow the process.
