The Chains of the Firekat
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Just for fun, here's a very old artwork dating from sometime last millennium. It's so old, in fact, that the paper was starting to discolor at the edges when I finally got around to scanning it. But nonetheless, there's just something about it, perhaps the look in the eyes.
The media used includes a bizarre mixture of felt-tip pen, colored pencil, black ink pen and gold marker. The outfit seems to have been inspired by something seen in an old X-men animated cartoon, because there's that marker on the belt, which I seem to have liked enough to keep it. I also seem to vaguely remember that the costume should incorporate some sort of armoured skirts with overlapping layers, but the cat creature seems to have deliberately discarded it for greater mobility.
The shin-mounted blades have definitely been used, because they're dripping something red and the one on her left leg has been bashed out of alignment and is blatantly sideways. Her helm has some sort of extended ear-guards to stop impacts and concussive blast damage. She has fire, but there's something terribly dark and desperate about the whole scene.
So, in summary, I really have no idea what is going on here. It looks like an illustration for something, but I have no idea what. Any interesting suggestions would be welcomed.
