For a long time, I've wanted to have an original character, but...well, I guess I've just worried it wouldn't be what I wanted, or it wouldn't be adequately representative of me. Thankfully, I no longer have that concern.

This here is Shoal. He's a turtle. Check him out, is he handsome or what? Definitely a charmer. Sometimes a real showboat, sometimes pretty shy. Loves the water, hates feeling cold. Has a rumbling baritone for a voice, though he sings more than most care to listen. He's pretty tall when he stands up straight, but he tends to keep his legs tucked lower. He's a gentle soul. Sometimes he doesn't like how spotty he looks. He can come off as naive, if his passionate nature is lost on someone: he's helpful to a fault. He tries hard to be the best he can be, but he's prone to distraction, and he often puts himself in situations beyond his capability or control. Above all, he goes with the flow. Unless that flow sucks especially hard.

She fleshed this guy out with me and brought him to full realization from a pretty basic concept. I can't thank her enough for all the work she put into making Shoal shine, but I'll say it again: thanks, Kira.
