Poor Big Stan. Looks like a resurgent bacteria monster got 'im. Wretchedpileofsecrets decided to give the bacteria a long prehensile tongue to grab Stan with him, something they lacked in the actual episode (that we know of, anyway), similar to what Syndrome has done in [i]his[/i] work with the creatures.
