The phrase "when pigs fly" did not account for the fact that Ekordu do just that. With their Reactor Gut that quickly and thoroughly breaks down excess food and converts it into energy, Ekordu can go for long periods of time on a pocketful of snacks after a meal. Often times, Ekordu have to teach their young to not constantly eat so that the food reserves stay at a moderate amount, however there are still older Ekordu who have to catch themselves eating too much. As one can imagine, Ekordu do more gliding than they can fly, naturally that is. However, Ekordu subconsciously use a technique known as Vortex Strum to give themselves enough propulsion to launch themselves through the air and reach new heights. This is in combination with their Flow Beat ability, allowing them to glide up and hover as they silently wait to ambush prey by landing on and rending them with jaws, tusks, and claws. Strangely enough, the tusks of the Ekordu is actually a rather uncommon trait and doesn't directly denote their behaviorisms... perhaps it's merely just a look nowadays whereas long ago could have proven useful in fights.
