Well, the attempt of drawing a fallen ceratopsian greatly failed as I haven’t their anatomy down in my head so that I could draw a decent Chasmosaurus or Centrosaurus. Fortunately, this Daspletosaurus has taken down my very first attempt at drawing another dinosaur species (except theropods).

During the last weekend, I decided to make some Daspletosaurus sketches after having read the polarizing paper from Thomas Carr et al (which made some implications about the structures what could have covered the snout of tyrannosaurids, besides the description of the new species Daspletosaurus horneri) and went for my own version how the structures around the snout could have looked. So, I gave my Daspletosaurus a keratinized skin with portions of the armored skin, that becomes smoother towards softer skin around the eyes for example.
