I hear little tidbits like this from time to time and I always wonder if they are recorded strings or digital reproductions.... I can never tell.

Its a little of both. These are samples, so yes the sound is of recorded instruments but a computer is playing it

These are digital. I play the violin in an orchestra, so I can tell the difference from the first note.
