Maybe some type of a sansevieria?
"Maybe some type of a sansevieria?" - doubt it, this one easily gets past knee height and has somewhat long, 'standalone' stems. the leaves are smooth on the upper side (the stem still being noticeable), it ends on a pointy tip (like you can see here) and it arches like an ear in the 'base' of the leaf. ill get a shot of it tomorrow, should be easier.
